There were chaotic scenes in South London last night as thousands of Twilight fans turned up to see the stars (well, Robert Pattinson mainly) of the latest in the series, New Moon, at a special 'fan party' to celebrate the release of the film next week.Around 2,000 hysterical fans - who had beaten tens of thousands of others applying for tickets throught the Twilight fansite - descended on Battersea Park in South London and queued in freezing conditions to meet Pattinson and his co-star Kristen Stewart who were hosting a question and answer session.
The event had been planned by the film's makers after ditched plans for a New Moon London premiere caused outrage from the fans.
Not surprisingly, most of the attention was focussed on Pattinson who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilght films. One fanatic wrote: 'Bite Me' on her face, while another teenager scrawled on a piece of cardboard: 'You'll look at me with eyes that see and we'll melt into each other's arms.'
Much of the debate still surrounded the rumoured relationship between Pattinson and his co-star Kristen Stewart, although the pair didn't reveal anything as they walked the red carpet with Pattinson saying: "It's speculative."
The Twilight Saga: New Moon is in cinemas from 20 November.

When a mini-skirt-clad Fox leans over the hood of Shia LaBeouf's car early in the film, you can actually see an international sex symbol being born before your eyes. Optimus Prime and his robotic brethren may have been the draw going in, but Fox was all people were talking about on their way out.

When shots of Fox in costume as a prostitute from the comic Western 'Jonah Hex' leaked earlier this year, the two reactions were simply "Wow!" and "Wow, I didn't realize she was that skinny!" Fox has said that her usually 22-inch waist was cinched to 19 inches, which is basically inhuman. And somehow, she still looks amazing.

As one can imagine, Fox got a lot of attention (and magazine covers) earlier this summer when the eagerly anticipated sequel 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' blasted into theaters. In interviews, Fox once again emphasized that the movie belongs to the CGI robots and Bay-tastic explosions, but we're not going to lie: Our favorite parts were watching Fox scoot around on a motorcycle and leap off buildings in skimpy outfits. That Optimus happened to kick the crap out of Megatron was just gravy.
