Fantastic Mr. Fox Synopsis
Fantastic Mr. Fox began life as a much-loved, best-selling book by Roald Dahl, the author responsible for James and the Giant Peach and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Now acclaimed director Wes Anderson has adapted the tale for the big screen in his first ever, truly amazing animated feature. Using handmade models and painstaking stop motion animation techniques the director and his team have crafted a magical movie fable with an all star, A-list cast of voices. George Clooney and Meryl Streep star as the voices behind Mr and Mrs Fox who live in an idyllic home in a hill, under a tree. Also in the Fox family is their beloved son Ash, voiced by Jason Schwartzman, and visiting nephew Kristofferson, whose voice is provided by Wes Anderson’s brother, Eric.
Other residents inhabiting the hill include Badger (Bill Murray), Rabbit (Mario Batali), Weasel (Wes Anderson), and their families too. With so many mouths to feed Mr. Fox uses his wily ways to steal chickens from nearby farms, but in doing so lands himself, and everyone else, in trouble.
Three evil farmers called Boggis (Brian Cox), Bunce (Hugo Guinness) and Bean (Michael Gambon) decide to do away with the audacious Fantastic Mr. Fox at any cost. To protect themselves the animals decide to band together under the leadership of Mr. Fox and ready themselves to do battle with the farmers, in order to save themselves and their beloved home. Can they beat them? You’ll have to go and see the Fantastic Mr. Fox to find out.
